(valid from August 30, 2025 until further notice)
To all customers in the United States:
The President’s executive order 14324 “Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment for All Countries” removes the rule, that packages up to 800 USD value are tariff free. From August 30, 2025 for every single package arriving in the US there has to be a tariff paid which is the tariff for the country of origin. In case of Peru this is 10%.
But there is a transition time of 6 months. During this time all carriers transporting packages can choose if they want to calculate the tariff according to the country tariff (ad valorem duty) or if the will charge 80 USD per package (specific duty).
USPS as the official postal service of the US has not published which way they want to charge the tariffs (as of September 1, 2025). Also the exact procedure for paying the tariffs is not clear.
That is why the Peruvian Postal Service SERPOST has temporarily stopped to accept packages to the United States. Alternatives (like DHL, …) are either not available here or too expensive.
So the AN•Mercado cannot send out orders to the US right now.
You still can make orders and we can keep the products for you reserved until the procedure for paying tariffs is clear and SERPOST accepts packages to the US again. Just be prepared to pay a tariff either upfront or when the package arrives (as it happens in other countries).
Solara and Emanáku.
