Suns, Moons and Chakanas
Father Sun and Mother Moon
Tayta Inti and Mama Killa
According to ancient legends, Lake Titicaca is the birthplace of the Sun and Moon. The first Incas, Manco Capac and Mama Oqllo were also born in the lake. Their parents were the Sun and Moon. Because of this, Peru has always been deeply aligned with the energies of the Sun and Moon.
The strongest Inca symbol of the Sun and Moon united as One Being is known as Inti-Killa or the Inca Matrimonial. Here, the crescent Moon rests underneath the Sun. This is why we are offering special pendants of the Sun, Moon and the Inca matrimonial Sun – Moon.
Since the Inkas came from the AN Lineage, their representations of Suns and Moons are powerful and clear. And we hope that later this year, we will also be able to offer a selection of special AN Sun-Moon pendants from our original design.
Chakanas
We also have a small selection of Chakanas which are the Bridge between Worlds.
Most of these special items are made by a Quechua artisan in Cuzco who makes them with integrity and Trueness. On occasion, we are also able to encounter some antique Suns and Moon, although good ones are increasingly difficult to find.
