Ceramic Wall Plaque from Raqch’i in the shape of a Chakana. Inside the chakana are various designs including the Sun and Moon, Llama, Flute, Corn, Coca Leaf and Cantu ~ the sacred flower of Pachamama.
This simple wall plaque is in earth tones of green (feminine earth) and brown (masculine earth). It is sure to bless any place it is put.
Raqch’i is a very special Inca site in Peru dedicated to the Creator Viracocha. The temple complex is huge. The main temple is two stories tall and divided by a wall in the center. On either side of the temple are eleven large pillars ~ 11:11. The women of Raqch’i made beautiful pottery in earth tones. Many of them have motifs of the Sun and Moon. Others feature either Pachamama (Mother Earth) or Sara Mama (The Corn Mother). Their ceramics feel sacred and real.
